YOU CAN GO OUTSIDE NOW

After some of the coldest air in recent history spread down over much of the U.S….temperatures will begin to moderate across the eastern two thirds of the Nation as a deep vortex lifts back northward through eastern Canada. In addition…strong and gusty winds should begin to diminish.

CALIFORNIA URGE PRAYER FOR RAIN

The California Conference of Catholic Bishops called for Divine intervention yesterday as California endures what appears to be its third straight dry winter. They asked people of all faiths to join in prayers for rain as reservoirs in the state dipped to historic lows after one of the driest calendar years on record.

The first Sierra Nevada snow survey of the winter last week found the water content in the statewide snowpack to be just 20 percent of average for this time of year. Without relief, state water managers said they will be able to deliver just 5 percent of the water sought by agencies that supply more than 25 million Californians and nearly a million acres of irrigated farmland.

Sacramento Bishop Jaime Soto, president of the bishops’ conference, suggested a prayer for God to “open the heavens and let His mercy rain down upon our fields and mountains.” Soto said in a news release, “Our reliance on water reveals how much we are part of Creation and Creation is a part of us. A drought, if it comes, will drastically affect California’s livelihoods, health and quality of life.”

Meanwhile, Pope Francis issued a document from Rome urging all Catholics to proclaim the Gospel and to see the responsibility to evangelise as their own. He reminded them that “the word of God constantly shows us how God challenges those who believe in Him ‘to go forth’”.

EGYPT CHARGES HILLARY COLLABORATED WITH MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD WHILE LEGAL BRIEFS HAVE BEEN FILED WITH THE INTERNATIONAL CRIMINAL COURT AGAINST PRESIDENT OBAMA

NEW YORK – A threat to Hillary Clinton’s much anticipated 2016 presidential campaign appears to be developing in Egypt where that nation’s government is taking steps to criminalize the Muslim Brotherhood.

Specifically, a new criminal complaint has been filed with Egypt’s attorney general, Hisham Barakat, alleging then-U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton collaborated with Naglaa Mahmoud, the wife of ousted Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi, in seeking to incite domestic insurrections to topple Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, the Egyptian general who has been commander in chief of the Egyptian armed forces, as well as minister of defense, since August 12, 2012.

Researcher Walid Shoebat, a native Arabic-speaker and a former Palestinian Liberation Organization operative, has reported on his blog that credible news sources in Egypt have reported in Arabic that criminal charges have been brought against Hillary Clinton and Morsi’s wife.

Shoebat translated the following from an Egyptian Mehwar TV channel news video in which television reporter Nasr Qaffas explains on camera details of an interview Turkey’s Anatolia news agency conducted with Naglaa Mahmoud.

The excerpts from the transcript of the Mehwar TV news video include comments by Naglaa Mahmoud implicating Huma Abedin, wife of former Democratic Congressman Anthony Weiner and the former Hillary Clinton chief of staff whom WND has identified as having close ties to the Muslim Brotherhood.

WND first reportedin August 2013 that criminal charges have been filed against Malik Obama, half-brother to President Barack Obama, for his involvement allegedly managing funds for a terrorist organization based in neighboring Sudan as well as for the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt.

A criminal trial against former Egyptian president Mohamed Morsi is scheduled to begin in Egypt today with Morsi facing charges that he supported the Muslim Brotherhood in acts of violence directed against the Egyptian people.

In November, WND reported the Egyptian Air Force Officer currently residing in the U.S. and working as a physician, who has pressed terrorist charges in Egypt against President Obama’s elder brother Malik, has characterized the decision of the Egyptian government to prosecute the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt a conflict that involves “Moderate Muslims vs. the Obama brothers.”

As Jan. 8, 2014, approaches and Egypt prepares for the next appearance in court of former president Mohammed Morsi and the 14 Muslim Brotherhood leaders facing charges of incitement to murder, Sadek Raouf Ebeid believes Barack Obama and his brother Malik Obama in Kenya will be implicated in the criminal proceedings because of the support President Obama and his brother have shown for the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt.

Ebeid was the man who filed last August what in Egypt is known as “Complaint No. 1761″ with the office of Egypt’s Attorney General Hisham Barakat, a complaint that accused Malik Obama of managing investment funds for the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt.

In a letter addressed to WND, translated and published as a “guest column” on the website of Walid Shoebat, Ebeid stressed that the promptness with which Hisham Barakat responded to the filing of his complaint requesting that Obama’s elder brother, Malik, be placed on the Egyptian terrorist watch list “resonated with the feelings of the majority of moderate Muslims in the Arab world both for his involvement managing funds for both the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt and for the Islamic Dawa Organization, or IDO, in Sudan.”

On November 11, WND reported that Egyptian lawyers have filed criminal terrorism charges in the International Criminal Court against President Obama, in addition to the criminal terrorism charges previously filed in Egyptian courts against the president’s half-brother Malik.

Specifically, the criminal charges filed in the ICC against President Obama charge Obama coordinated, incited, and assisted the armed elements of the Muslim Brotherhood in the commission of crimes against humanity including the torching, destruction and plundering of some 85 Christian churches, in the period March 7 through Aug. 18 in Egypt.

WND has previously reported on Muslim Brotherhood violence against Coptic Christians in Egypt. According to a paper published November 12 by Middle Eastern expert Raymond Ibrahim on the website of the Gatestone Institute, titled “What Happened to Christians in the Middle East this August?,” the attacks on Egypt’s Coptic Christians and their Christian churches began with the June 30 Revolution that “saw the ousting of President Morsi and prompted the Muslim Brotherhood to scapegoat and incite violence against the Copts.”

Ibrahim reported the attacks became “even more brutal in mid-August after security forces cleared out Brotherhood ‘sit in’ camps, where people were being tortured, raped, and murdered.”

He noted the attacks were especially devastating in Minya in Upper Egypt where the large Christian community was hit especially hard, with at least 20 attacks on churches, Christian schools and orphanages.

According to Ibrahim, the goal of the radical Islamists in their attack on the Copts in Egypt was “to erase all the traces of a Christian presence,” such that even the orphanages were looted and destroyed.

Earlier, in an article titled “Attacks on Christians Escalate in Egypt, Nigeria”

published by the Gatestone Institute on Sept. 19, 2013, Ibrahim wrote:

On July 4th, the day after the Egyptian military liberated its nation from Muslim Brotherhood rule, Christian Copts were immediatelyscapegoated and targeted. All Islamist leaders – from Brotherhood supreme leader Muhammad Badi, to Egyptian-born al-Qaida leader Ayman Zawahiri, to top Sunni cleric Sheikh Yusuf al-Qaradawi – made a point to single out Egypt’s Copts as especially instrumental in the ousting of former Islamist president Morsi, a claim that ushered in a month of slaughter against the nation’s Christian minority.

Although religious violence by Muslims against Christians remains largely unreported in the mainstream media in the U.S., Ibrahim warned that persecution of Christians in the Islamic world is on the way “to reaching pandemic proportions.”

JOHN BOEHNER HIDING DETAILS DAMAGING TO HIM?

A letter from three relatives of the Benghazi attack victims is renewing questions over whether House Speaker John Boehner was briefed on covert operations in Libya and whether a proposed “Select Committee” might reveal politically damaging details.

At the same time, new reports and documents, reviewed by Fox News, are providing a broader picture of complex weapons-collection efforts in Libya – months after concerns were first raised that the U.S. was facilitating the movement of weapons, from Libya via Turkey, to Syrian rebels.

We recall how then-Speaker Nancy Pelosi developed a form of ‘amnesia’ concerning a documented briefing she received on so-called ‘enhanced interrogation techniques’ – later termed ‘torture’ for political purposes. Are you in the same position as your predecessor? Are you dodging a legitimate, thorough, coordinated investigation of Benghazi because it will damage your political position as Speaker?”

The letter questions why Boehner is resisting calls for an independent investigative committee – similar to the type of panel that investigated Watergate — when nearly 80 percent of House Republicans support it. Boehner last year indicated he was privy to classified information about U.S. operations in Libya.

The letter to Boehner was signed by the father of former Navy SEAL Tyrone Woods, the mother and uncle of Foreign Service Officer Sean Smith, and 70 others including retired generals.

DEATH IS THE ONLY WAY

According to Morning Star News, the Federal Shariat Court thatoversees criminal courts that deal with cases concerning Islamic law worldwide has made a new ruling. Blaspheming Mohammed was originally punished by life in prison or death, but the FSC recently ordered the government to remove life in prison as an option.

THERE MAY NOT BE A DOCTOR IN THE HOUSE

The U.S. Supreme Court has denied a request from a group of doctors to block the implementation of Obamacare.

The Association of American Physicians & Surgeons and the Alliance for Natural Health USA wanted the doctor registration requirement blocked.

They say Congress passed the healthcare law incorrectly by starting it in the Senate instead of the House. Revenue-raising bills are supposed to originate in the lower chamber. They also noted the doctor registration requirements will make it harder for independent non-Medicare physicians to treat Medicare-eligible patients.

Still pending is a decision on the contraceptive coverage mandate, which was challenged by a group of nuns.

Meanwhile, Senator Ron Johnson, R-Wis., is suing a government agency for allowing members of Congress and their staff to get subsidies to help pay for Obamacare health plans. He said that wasn’t part of the original bill.

DENNIS RODMAN DRIBBLES IN NORTH KOREA

(Fox) Dennis Rodman may be losing the locker room full of NBA old-timers he brought to North Korea this week , especially after a TV appearance that went over like a four-week old pizza.

Onetime NBA star Charles Smith, a 6 foot, 10 inch tall center who had a stellar career with three teams, said the 10-member team of retired players’ planning to play an exhibition game Wednesday against a team of North Koreans has become “dwarfed” by the spectacle that Rodman made of himself and the team. He told the Associated Press, “The message the rest of our team came to bring is being overwhelmed by politics and government.”

Smith’s comments came after a bizarre TV appearance in which he and other former stars including Vin Baker, Kenny Anderson and Cliff Robinson stood behind Rodman as he tried to defend their trip to the communist dictatorship. The players appeared to be extremely uncomfortable as Rodman, an NBA Hall of Famer known as much for his erratic behavior as the rebounding and defense he provided alongside Michael Jordan during his days as a Chicago Bull belligerently answered questions.

“You have 10 guys here, 10 guys who have left their damn families to help this country in a sports venture,” Rodman shouted at CNN’s Chris Cuomo, when asked about North Korea’s abysmal human rights record.

Rodman, known during his playing days as “The Worm,” visited North Korea three times last year and is “buddies” with Kim Jong Un, the North Korean leader who recently had his mentor uncle executed by dogs and whose administration is now holding American missionary Kenneth Bae prisoner for allegedly plotting to overthrow the Pyongyang government. Bae was leading a group of Christians on a tour of North Korea when he was arrested.

“Kenneth Bae did one thing,” an angry Rodman shouted, as he waved a cigar at the camera. “Do you understand what Kenneth Bae did in this country? I would love to speak on this.” As Rodman spoke, Smith attempted to calm him down, only to be met with an angry “I got this.”

The National Basketball Retired Players Association has denounced the basketball exhibition.

Smith, who played on the 1988 U.S. Olympic team and later represented the U.S. in the World Games in 1998, said he knew then what it was to stand proudly on the world stage. “I felt huge. I felt on top of the world,” Smith told the AP. “But I feel the reverse now. I feel a lot of remorse for the guys because we aimed to do something positive, but it’s a lot bigger than us. We can’t do anything about that; if we could, we would. We’re not skilled in those particular areas,” he added. “Dennis is definitely not skilled in those particular areas.”

WRONG TEAM WINS CHAMPIONSHIP?

New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) – The National Football League has issued a statement admitting an officiating error that played a pivotal role in determining the AFC’s final playoff team.

“With 0:08 remaining in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s game between the Kansas City Chiefs and San Diego Chargers, Kansas City faced a 4th-and-12 from the San Diego 23. The Chiefs attempted a 41-yard field that was no good.

“On the play, San Diego lined up with seven men on one side of the snapper. This should have been penalized as an illegal formation by the defense. NFL’s rulebook definitely states, ‘No more than six Team B players may be on the line of scrimmage on either side of the snapper at the snap.’

“The penalty for illegal formation by the defense is a loss of five yards. This is not subject to instant replay review. Had the penalty been assessed, it would have resulted in a 4th-and-7 from the San Diego 18 with 0:04 remaining, enabling the Chiefs to attempt a 36-yard field goal.”

If the correct call was made and Chiefs kicker Ryan Succop connected for the game-winning kick, a Chargers loss would have given the Pittsburgh Steelers the final AFC playoff berth.

WANT HEALTH INSURANCE? TRY WALMART

New ObamaCare health insurance enrollees may feel a pang of envy when they eye the coverage plans offered by Walmart to its employees.

For many years, the giant discount retailer has been the target of unions and liberal activists who have harshly criticized the company’s health care plans, calling them “notorious for failing to provide health benefits” and “substandard.”

But a Washington Examiner comparison of the two health insurance programs found that Walmart’s plan is more affordable and provides significantly better access to high-quality medical care than Obamacare.

Independent insurance agents affiliated with the National Association of Health Underwriters and health policy experts compared the two at the request of the Washington Examiner.

HE NAILED IT!

A man who had a 8 centimeter-long nail embedded in his skull after a home improvement accident had no idea until doctors carried out a CT scan.

The 55-year-old Chinese man, named by local media as Mr Yang, was using a cutting machine when the accident happened.

“The nail that got stuck in the cutting machine flew out when I turned on the machine. It ripped into my head and left a small hole on the skin,” Mr Yang told the Sky News.

Not realizing the nail had embedded Mr Yang went on with his day. But after he got sick he went to doctors who discovered the nail had penetrated his eye socket.
