Chariots of Fire revisited

http://reachmorenow.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/Charleson_and_Farrell_in_Chariots_of_Fire.jpg

If you never saw or loved the movie “Chariots of Fire” you may not be interested in seeing this. But since this is the last day of 2014, I am making this story available to the millions who did. In fact, if you have never seen it before I recommend that you be sure you do. It was a low-budget film made in Scotland that won four Oscars, including best picture of the year for 1981.

The movie focuses on two main characters – Eric Lidell, a Christian, and Harold Abrams, a Jew – competitors in Olympic running. This fascinating documentary that is narrated by still another major actor in the movie, examines the real lives of both men. It’s well done and those who enjoyed “Chariots of Fire” are almost certainly going to enjoy this. This is for you.–Ray

How did Josh McDowell ever get saved?

http://reachmorenow.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/depression_by_Bark.jpg

Here is one of the most blatantly honest testimonies of salvation that I have ever heard. Josh McDowell tells all. He didn’t come from a loving family, but a brutal one. So how did Josh get past that fact to believe that Jesus Christ loves him? If you have any pain in your life at all from your background, this will be a very healing video. If you don’t, praise God and listen so that you can help others.–Ray

The Gospel of John Chapter 20

http://reachmorenow.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/6a00d8341c7a9f53ef015431ff9230970c-800wi1.jpg

Now on the first day of the week Mary Magdalene came early to the tomb, while it was still dark, and saw the stone already taken away from the tomb.

So she ran and came to Simon Peter and to the other disciple whom Jesus loved, and said to them, “They have taken away the Lord out of the tomb, and we do not know where they have laid Him.”

So Peter and the other disciple went forth, and they were going to the tomb.

The two were running together; and the other disciple ran ahead faster than Peter and came to the tomb first;

and stooping and looking in, he saw the linen wrappings lying there; but he did not go in.

And so Simon Peter also came, following him, and entered the tomb; and he saw the linen wrappings lying there,

and the face-cloth which had been on His head, not lying with the linen wrappings, but rolled up in a place by itself.

So the other disciple who had first come to the tomb then also entered, and he saw and believed.

For as yet they did not understand the Scripture, that He must rise again from the dead.

So the disciples went away again to their own homes.

But Mary was standing outside the tomb weeping; and so, as she wept, she stooped and looked into the tomb;

and she saw two angels in white sitting, one at the head and one at the feet, where the body of Jesus had been lying.

And they said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping?” She said to them, “Because they have taken away my Lord, and I do not know where they have laid Him.”

When she had said this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, and did not know that it was Jesus.

Jesus said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping? Whom are you seeking?” Supposing Him to be the gardener, she said to Him, “Sir, if you have carried Him away, tell me where you have laid Him, and I will take Him away.”

Jesus said to her, “Mary!” She turned and said to Him in Hebrew, “Rabboni!” (which means, Teacher).

Jesus said to her, “Stop clinging to Me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father; but go to My brethren and say to them, ‘I ascend to My Father and your Father, and My God and your God."”

Mary Magdalene came, announcing to the disciples, “I have seen the Lord,” and that He had said these things to her.

So when it was evening on that day, the first day of the week, and when the doors were shut where the disciples were, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in their midst and said to them, “Peace be with you.”

And when He had said this, He showed them both His hands and His side. The disciples then rejoiced when they saw the Lord.

So Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you; as the Father has sent Me, I also send you.”

And when He had said this, He breathed on them and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit.

“If you forgive the sins of any, their sins have been forgiven them; if you retain the sins of any, they have been retained.”

But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came.

So the other disciples were saying to him, “We have seen the Lord!” But he said to them, “Unless I see in His hands the imprint of the nails, and put my finger into the place of the nails, and put my hand into His side, I will not believe.”

After eight days His disciples were again inside, and Thomas with them. Jesus came, the doors having been shut, and stood in their midst and said, “Peace be with you.”

Then He said to Thomas, “Reach here with your finger, and see My hands; and reach here your hand and put it into My side; and do not be unbelieving, but believing.”

Thomas answered and said to Him, “My Lord and my God!”

Jesus said to him, “Because you have seen Me, have you believed? Blessed are they who did not see, and yet believed.”

Therefore many other signs Jesus also performed in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book;

but these have been written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing you may have life in His name.

The life story of "Unbroken" Louis Zaperini

http://reachmorenow.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/20110907__PN08ZAMPERINI1_200.jpg

“Unbroken” is a movie that is playing in theaters all over the United States and in many other countries this month. Directed by Angelina Jolie, it tells the amazing story of Olympic champion runner Louis Zaperini, who soon after the Olympics entered the military during World War II.

“Unbroken” reveals Zaperini’s champion spirit while under two and a half years of extreme torture in Japanese concentration camps. Liberated by Americans at the end of World War II, Zaperini was freed but not free from unending nightmares from the hell he had been through. Dr. Billy Graham with Jesus Christ changed all that for him. Here’s the gripping story… – Ray

The Gospel of John – Chapter 19

The Gospel of John – Chapter 19

Pilate then took Jesus and scourged Him.

And the soldiers twisted together a crown of thorns and put it on His head, and put a purple robe on Him;

and they began to come up to Him and say, “Hail, King of the Jews!” and to give Him slaps in the face.

Pilate came out again and said to them, “Behold, I am bringing Him out to you so that you may know that I find no guilt in Him.”

Jesus then came out, wearing the crown of thorns and the purple robe. Pilate said to them, “Behold, the Man!”

So when the chief priests and the officers saw Him, they cried out saying, “Crucify, crucify!” Pilate said to them, “Take Him yourselves and crucify Him, for I find no guilt in Him.”

The Jews answered him, “We have a law, and by that law He ought to die because He made Himself out to be the Son of God.”

Therefore when Pilate heard this statement, he was even more afraid;

and he entered into the Praetorium again and said to Jesus, “Where are You from?” But Jesus gave him no answer.

So Pilate said to Him, “You do not speak to me? Do You not know that I have authority to release You, and I have authority to crucify You?”

Jesus answered, “You would have no authority over Me, unless it had been given you from above; for this reason he who delivered Me to you has the greater sin.”

As a result of this Pilate made efforts to release Him, but the Jews cried out saying, “If you release this Man, you are no friend of Caesar; everyone who makes himself out to be a king opposes Caesar.”

Therefore when Pilate heard these words, he brought Jesus out, and sat down on the judgment seat at a place called The Pavement, but in Hebrew, Gabbatha.

Now it was the day of preparation for the Passover; it was about the sixth hour. And he said to the Jews, “Behold, your King!”

So they cried out, “Away with Him, away with Him, crucify Him!” Pilate said to them, “Shall I crucify your King?” The chief priests answered, “We have no king but Caesar.”

So he then handed Him over to them to be crucified.

They took Jesus, therefore, and He went out, bearing His own cross, to the place called the Place of a Skull, which is called in Hebrew, Golgotha.

There they crucified Him, and with Him two other men, one on either side, and Jesus in between.

Pilate also wrote an inscription and put it on the cross. It was written, “JESUS THE NAZARENE, THE KING OF THE JEWS.”

Therefore many of the Jews read this inscription, for the place where Jesus was crucified was near the city; and it was written in Hebrew, Latin and in Greek.

So the chief priests of the Jews were saying to Pilate, “Do not write, ‘The King of the Jews"; but that He said, ‘I am King of the Jews."”

Pilate answered, “What I have written I have written.”

Then the soldiers, when they had crucified Jesus, took His outer garments and made four parts, a part to every soldier and also the tunic; now the tunic was seamless, woven in one piece.

So they said to one another, “Let us not tear it, but cast lots for it, to decide whose it shall be”; this was to fulfill the Scripture: “THEY DIVIDED MY OUTER GARMENTS AMONG THEM, AND FOR MY CLOTHING THEY CAST LOTS.”

Therefore the soldiers did these things. But standing by the cross of Jesus were His mother, and His mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene.

When Jesus then saw His mother, and the disciple whom He loved standing nearby, He said to His mother, “Woman, behold, your son!”

Then He said to the disciple, “Behold, your mother!” From that hour the disciple took her into his own household.

After this, Jesus, knowing that all things had already been accomplished, to fulfill the Scripture, said, “I am thirsty.”

A jar full of sour wine was standing there; so they put a sponge full of the sour wine upon a branch of hyssop and brought it up to His mouth.

Therefore when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And He bowed His head and gave up His spirit.

Then the Jews, because it was the day of preparation, so that the bodies would not remain on the cross on the Sabbath (for that Sabbath was a high day), asked Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away.

So the soldiers came, and broke the legs of the first man and of the other who was crucified with Him;

but coming to Jesus, when they saw that He was already dead, they did not break His legs.

But one of the soldiers pierced His side with a spear, and immediately blood and water came out.

And he who has seen has testified, and his testimony is true; and he knows that he is telling the truth, so that you also may believe.

For these things came to pass to fulfill the Scripture, “NOT A BONE OF HIM SHALL BE BROKEN.”

And again another Scripture says, “THEY SHALL LOOK ON HIM WHOM THEY PIERCED.”

After these things Joseph of Arimathea, being a disciple of Jesus, but a secret one for fear of the Jews, asked Pilate that he might take away the body of Jesus; and Pilate granted permission. So he came and took away His body.

Nicodemus, who had first come to Him by night, also came, bringing a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about a hundred pounds weight.

So they took the body of Jesus and bound it in linen wrappings with the spices, as is the burial custom of the Jews.

Now in the place where He was crucified there was a garden, and in the garden a new tomb in which no one had yet been laid.

Therefore because of the Jewish day of preparation, since the tomb was nearby, they laid Jesus there.

Hello 2015

From "Chariots of Fire" here"s the life story of Olympic star Eric Lidell

http://reachmorenow.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/Eric_Liddell.jpg

One of the greatest movies I’ve ever seen was the Academy award winning “Chariots of Fire”. It’s the story of Olympic runner turned missionary, Eric Lidell. Eric believed Christ told him never to run on Sundays. So he never did, and because of this strong principle in his life it undoubtedly cost him one gold medal at the Olympics that he otherwise would have won. So strong was his faith in Christ that they made the movie to center on him.

The following video carries the life story of Eric Lidell and it tells you what happened to him after he did win Olympic gold. Eric’s life sends a powerful message to us all. –Ray

Hillary Clinton for President? C-SPAN

http://reachmorenow.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/Hillary-Clinton-a.jpg

The 2016 presidential race has already begun. Former Florida Republican Governor Jeb Bush has made it very clear that he intends to be a candidate. Every sign is that Hillary Clinton will be running for president too, perhaps unopposed by her party. So after President Obama, are we going to begin again the dynasty of either the Bushes or the Clintons in the Oval Office until 2020? That would mean they would have been in control of our nation for 27 years, and 31 if Hillary was reelected for a second term and was president through 2024.&.

I’ll be exploring the backgrounds of each person who declares themself a candidate for president. But right now let’s focus on Hillary as two of her biographers are interviewed about her on C-SPAN. The office of president is the single most important office in America. As you watch this interview continue to ask yourself if it seems like Hillary would make a great president for America. – Ray

The Gospel of John Chapter 18

http://reachmorenow.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/caravaggio-bacio-giuda-1602.jpg

When Jesus had spoken these words, He went forth with His disciples over the ravine of the Kidron, where there was a garden, in which He entered with His disciples.

Now Judas also, who was betraying Him, knew the place, for Jesus had often met there with His disciples. Judas then, having received the Roman cohort and officers from the chief priests and the Pharisees, came there with lanterns and torches and weapons. So Jesus, knowing all the things that were coming upon Him, went forth and said to them, “Whom do you seek?” They answered Him, “Jesus the Nazarene.” He said to them, “I am He.” And Judas also, who was betraying Him, was standing with them. So when He said to them, “I am He,” they drew back and fell to the ground. Therefore He again asked them, “Whom do you seek?” And they said, “Jesus the Nazarene.” Jesus answered, “I told you that I am He; so if you seek Me, let these go their way,” to fulfill the word which He spoke, “Of those whom You have given Me I lost not one.” Simon Peter then, having a sword, drew it and struck the high priest’s slave, and cut off his right ear; and the slave’s name was Malchus. So Jesus said to Peter, “Put the sword into the sheath; the cup which the Father has given Me, shall I not drink it?” So the Roman cohort and the commander and the officers of the Jews, arrested Jesus and bound Him, and led Him to Annas first; for he was father-in-law of Caiaphas, who was high priest that year. Now Caiaphas was the one who had advised the Jews that it was expedient for one man to die on behalf of the people. Simon Peter was following Jesus, and so was another disciple. Now that disciple was known to the high priest, and entered with Jesus into the court of the high priest, but Peter was standing at the door outside. So the other disciple, who was known to the high priest, went out and spoke to the doorkeeper, and brought Peter in. Then the slave-girl who kept the door said to Peter, “You are not also one of this man’s disciples, are you?” He said, “I am not.” Now the slaves and the officers were standing there, having made a charcoal fire, for it was cold and they were warming themselves; and Peter was also with them, standing and warming himself. The high priest then questioned Jesus about His disciples, and about His teaching. Jesus answered him, “I have spoken openly to the world; I always taught in synagogues and in the temple, where all the Jews come together; and I spoke nothing in secret. “Why do you question Me? Question those who have heard what I spoke to them; they know what I said.” When He had said this, one of the officers standing nearby struck Jesus, saying, “Is that the way You answer the high priest?” Jesus answered him, “If I have spoken wrongly, testify of the wrong; but if rightly, why do you strike Me?” So Annas sent Him bound to Caiaphas the high priest. Now Simon Peter was standing and warming himself. So they said to him, “You are not also one of His disciples, are you?” He denied it, and said, “I am not.” One of the slaves of the high priest, being a relative of the one whose ear Peter cut off, said, “Did I not see you in the garden with Him?” Peter then denied it again, and immediately a rooster crowed. Then they led Jesus from Caiaphas into the Praetorium, and it was early; and they themselves did not enter into the Praetorium so that they would not be defiled, but might eat the Passover. Therefore Pilate went out to them and said, “What accusation do you bring against this Man?” They answered and said to him, “If this Man were not an evildoer, we would not have delivered Him to you.” So Pilate said to them, “Take Him yourselves, and judge Him according to your law.” The Jews said to him, “We are not permitted to put anyone to death,” to fulfill the word of Jesus which He spoke, signifying by what kind of death He was about to die. Therefore Pilate entered again into the Praetorium, and summoned Jesus and said to Him, “Are You the King of the Jews?” Jesus answered, “Are you saying this on your own initiative, or did others tell you about Me?” Pilate answered, “I am not a Jew, am I? Your own nation and the chief priests delivered You to me; what have You done?” Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, then My servants would be fighting so that I would not be handed over to the Jews; but as it is, My kingdom is not of this realm.” Therefore Pilate said to Him, “So You are a king?” Jesus answered, “You say correctly that I am a king. For this I have been born, and for this I have come into the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice.” Pilate said to Him, “What is truth?” And when he had said this, he went out again to the Jews and said to them, “I find no guilt in Him. “But you have a custom that I release someone for you at the Passover; do you wish then that I release for you the King of the Jews?” So they cried out again, saying, “Not this Man, but Barabbas.” Now Barabbas was a robber. – Jhn 18:1-40 NASB

Why did Jesus have to die? Dr. Myles Monroe

What kind of a Father would send his only Son on a suicide mission – a suicide mission that He knew would kill only His Son and no one else? Another way to ask that question is “Why did Jesus have to die in order to offer eternal life to every human? Why couldn’t God have brought salvation some more merciful way?”

Dean Jones as Saint John in Exile

http://reachmorenow.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/saltflats-500x375.jpg

I’ve been reading a chapter a day from the book of John to start the morning right. So what about this apostle John who wrote the books of John, first second and third John, and Revelation?

We know he traveled with Christ from the beginning of Christ’s ministry in the waters of baptism.

We know that John was one of the three disciples who saw Jesus transfigured and shining brighter than a million noonday suns.

We know that from the cross, Jesus told John to take care of His mother as if she were John’s own mother.

We know that John was the only one of the original eleven disciples who lived past the age of 100.

We know through historical documents of the first century that the Gnostics did try to kill John at an earlier age by boiling him in water, but he just lounged in that scalding water as if he was in a refreshing bathtub.

We know that John was exiled to the island of Patmos at an age close to 100 where his enemies expected him to die. Instead when there the Holy Spirit dictated to him in sight as well as word, the entire book of Revelation.

We know that John’s very last words when he did die was “Little children, love one another.”

Here’s Christian actor Dean Jones in his magnificent performance of “Saint. John In Exile”. This may be very close to what it was really like to be John receiving the book of Revelation on that terrible island. –Ray

Larry has just driven back to Fort Worth from Minneapolis where he celebrated Christmas with his teenage children. Georgia and I are back from Portland, Oregon, and Vancouver, Washington, where we not only spent a magnificent week visiting with my adult kids and most of my grandkids, but were thrilled to attend the wedding of my 44-year-old son, David, who had been single all his life. He married Karla, a beautiful woman inside and out, Karla, as we cheered. You can see them regularly on Facebook.

Now that Larry and I are back we are preparing this website for some exciting new things that will be on it along with Acts, the Larry and Ray Show, and my newscasts. We have a lot of wonderful surprises for you beginning January 1.

Hopefully, this will be the only day that I won’t be reading from the Bible. Instead, with great delight, I have discovered the teaching of one of England’s greatest Bible teachers – David Pawson. I can guarantee you that you will enjoy him and learn from him. He will be teaching this morning on the book of John. It is one thing to hear that book and quite another thing to understand it. David is going to help greatly by doing that. His gifted teaching is going to be a priceless gift to you right now. –Ray

The Problem With Suffering And The Goodness Of God- Ravi Zacharias

Imagine the assignment of speaking to the doctors, nurses, and patients at Johns Hopkins University, the foremost University in America for training in the medical field. That was Ravi Zacharias’s assignment. And the subject they gave him to speak on was “The Problem With Suffering And The Goodness Of God”. Only Ravi could answer the questions so profoundly and yet speak in a way that is so easily understandable.

Why does God allow nuclear warfare to wipe out innocent people? Why does He allow cancer, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s, and a plethora of other dreadful life–debilitating and life-taking sicknesses? Why would He allow plagues that wipe out millions of people? Doesn’t God care?

Isn’t Christ wanting to stop all sickness and disease as He did while he was ministering on Earth? And why on Earth would he allow nuclear bombs and weapons of mass destruction? Why would He allow a horror filled final tribulation of seven years? Does our God really love us? Is he really a good God? Does God really love you? Watch Ravi speak and give you God’s answers for all these things and much much more. –Ray

http://reachmorenow.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/3454134984_ca8fe534b3.jpg

I am not putting all these things about the end times on our website to scare anyone. But if you’ve heard the teaching of Jonathan Cahn or the book that I’m reading – “The Mystery of the Shemitah” – and the earlier book that I have already read by Jonathan – “The Harbinger” (click Audiobooks on reachmorenow.com and you’ll find it) – you know what Jonathan believes the Bible tells us about the total financial collapse in America that is going to happen in 2015. Many biblical scholars agree with him.

I would never place anyone on our website that I didn’t believe held a whole lot of credibility. Jonathan does. So does Dr. John Hagee. Whether or not they are right will be known by the end of September 2015. These end time teachings and movies are to warn you this could happen and you, your family and your friends need to be prepared for it if it does occur. Anyone who doesn’t know Christ needs won’t be prepared. They need to receive Him NOW.

With all that in mind, watch this movie. If Jonathan is wrong it won’t cost you anything. But consider life in America in years to come if Jonathan is right. –Ray

Dr. John Hagee – The Four Blood Moons

http://reachmorenow.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/th-2.jpg

Dr. John Hagee has been preaching for more than 50 years. He teaches on many things. And one of his major interests is a scholarly examination of the end times. Along with Jonathan Cahn and many other prophetic Bible scholars, Dr. Hagee believes the four blood moons, two which took place during 2014 and two more that will occur in 2015, have great biblical significance regarding Israel, America, and the whole world. Just like Jonathan Cahn is doing, Dr.Hagee is risking international ridicule if what he shares on this video doesn’t take place. I believe these two great men need you to hear them and be prepared for this coming year. Here is Dr. Hagee to explain why he is willing to risk his reputation so that he can tell you in advance what he believes God says about the four blood moons. – Ray

Josh McDowell – New Evidence That Demands A Verdict

http://reachmorenow.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/got-the-scrolls.jpg

Yesterday we saw Josh McDowell talking about the solid evidence that Jesus Christ came to Earth, that He was crucified to cancel our sins, and that He rose from the dead not only to conquer death, but to bring every Christian an abundant life. If you haven’t seen that yet, be sure to watch him share these truths.

Josh’s first book “Evidence That Demands A Verdict” was an instant bestseller and well deserved to be. Today Josh is back to talk about “New Evidence That Demands A Verdict”, still another instant bestseller full of confirmation that the Bible is accurate in every way and that Jesus Christ is completely accurate in every way that He says about Himself. As the soldier at the cross said, “Truly He was the Son of God”. He still is!

Jonathan Cahn – The Mystery of the Shemitah with Sid Roth

http://reachmorenow.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/maxresdefault-2.jpg

It must be obvious to you that Jonathan Cahn is risking being called a fraud if what he is saying in his book I’m reading on reachmorenow.com doesn’t happen. If Jonathan is wrong and 2015 is a great year for America, his prophetic word will come under extreme question. But since Jonathan is an American, he undoubtedly would rather be verbally stoned than to have his nation fall apart.

Though I’m reading his book to you, I thought it would be good to have Jonathan tell you the heart of what he is saying in that book so that as I continue reading it you will be able to clearly understand what he is saying. When I discovered that Sid Roth interviewed Jonathan because of the urgency of this matter, I knew you should hear what Jonathan says firsthand. Here it is….–Ray

The Gospel of John – Chapter 17

The Gospel of John – Chapter 17

Jesus spoke these things; and lifting up His eyes to heaven, He said, “Father, the hour has come; glorify Your Son, that the Son may glorify You,

even as You gave Him authority over all flesh, that to all whom You have given Him, He may give eternal life.

“This is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.

“I glorified You on the earth, having accomplished the work which You have given Me to do.

“Now, Father, glorify Me together with Yourself, with the glory which I had with You before the world was.

“I have manifested Your name to the men whom You gave Me out of the world; they were Yours and You gave them to Me, and they have kept Your word.

“Now they have come to know that everything You have given Me is from You;

for the words which You gave Me I have given to them; and they received them and truly understood that I came forth from You, and they believed that You sent Me.

“I ask on their behalf; I do not ask on behalf of the world, but of those whom You have given Me; for they are Yours;

and all things that are Mine are Yours, and Yours are Mine; and I have been glorified in them.

“I am no longer in the world; and yet they themselves are in the world, and I come to You. Holy Father, keep them in Your name, the name which You have given Me, that they may be one even as We are.

“While I was with them, I was keeping them in Your name which You have given Me; and I guarded them and not one of them perished but the son of perdition, so that the Scripture would be fulfilled.

“But now I come to You; and these things I speak in the world so that they may have My joy made full in themselves.

“I have given them Your word; and the world has hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

“I do not ask You to take them out of the world, but to keep them from the evil one.

“They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

“Sanctify them in the truth; Your word is truth.

“As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world.

“For their sakes I sanctify Myself, that they themselves also may be sanctified in truth.

“I do not ask on behalf of these alone, but for those also who believe in Me through their word;

that they may all be one; even as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be in Us, so that the world may believe that You sent Me.

“The glory which You have given Me I have given to them, that they may be one, just as We are one;

I in them and You in Me, that they may be perfected in unity, so that the world may know that You sent Me, and loved them, even as You have loved Me.

“Father, I desire that they also, whom You have given Me, be with Me where I am, so that they may see My glory which You have given Me, for You loved Me before the foundation of the world.

“O righteous Father, although the world has not known You, yet I have known You; and these have known that You sent Me;

and I have made Your name known to them, and will make it known, so that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them.”

Family miracles due to standing on God"s Word – Mike Shreve & Sid Roth

http://reachmorenow.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/439582_005.jpg

I watched this and then watched it again. The stories you are about to hear are true. They come from Mike Shreve on Sid Roth’s television program “It’s Supernatural.” His message is to stand on God’s promises no matter what you see or hear, no matter who tells you something different or what is happening before your eyes. I’ve done this and have watched Christ do miracles through me or around me that contradict the laws of science too.

If you need a miracle or more than one miracle in your own family, or know someone who does, this will be especially powerful for you. But everyone should watch it so that they are prepared if such a time comes. –Ray

The bad news is that there is going to be a tribulation. The good news is the King is coming.

Bill Gaither for many years has assembled some of the greatest Christian musical artists in the world to sing on tours with him. Everyone loves Bill because of his gift of music, his great personality, his ready wit, and his sharing the songs of the Lord whether they be hymns or the most modern songs in Christiandom. Dr. Tony Evans is one of my favorite pastors and Bible teachers. I can’t think of any message more important than this one by Tony after watching a movie about the tribulation. When it all comes down to where the rubber hits the road, the question will be “Whose report will you believe?” Tony gives you vital answers to help you decide that question once and for all. –Ray

Movie – The Climb "A great Christian film" Ray

http://reachmorenow.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/5613453797_41d826435e_z.jpg

I’ve never understood mountain climbers who love to scale high mountains by rough and dangerous climbing. But they don’t understand why I like to keep both my feet firmly on the ground. Both my sons love to climb and are as limber as tightrope walkers. I hold my breath and pray as I watch them ascend.

Christian movies have improved tremendously during my lifetime. Today most Bible-based Christian films are big box office attractions. How I thank God for that. The following story and the acting is as good as it gets. Combine two mountain climbers with faith in Christ like my sons have, and you get a movie worth watching…… – Ray

The Gospel of John – Chapter 16

“These things I have spoken to you so that you may be kept from stumbling.

“They will make you outcasts from the synagogue, but an hour is coming for everyone who kills you to think that he is offering service to God.

“These things they will do because they have not known the Father or Me.

“But these things I have spoken to you, so that when their hour comes, you may remember that I told you of them. These things I did not say to you at the beginning, because I was with you.

“But now I am going to Him who sent Me; and none of you asks Me, ‘Where are You going?’

“But because I have said these things to you, sorrow has filled your heart.

“But I tell you the truth, it is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him to you.

“And He, when He comes, will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment;

concerning sin, because they do not believe in Me;

and concerning righteousness, because I go to the Father and you no longer see Me;

and concerning judgment, because the ruler of this world has been judged.

“I have many more things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now.

“But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come.

“He will glorify Me, for He will take of Mine and will disclose it to you.

“All things that the Father has are Mine; therefore I said that He takes of Mine and will disclose it to you.

“A little while, and you will no longer see Me; and again a little while, and you will see Me.”

Some of His disciples then said to one another, “What is this thing He is telling us, ‘A little while, and you will not see Me; and again a little while, and you will see Me"; and, ‘because I go to the Father’?”

So they were saying, “What is this that He says, ‘A little while’? We do not know what He is talking about.”

Jesus knew that they wished to question Him, and He said to them, “Are you deliberating together about this, that I said, ‘A little while, and you will not see Me, and again a little while, and you will see Me’?

“Truly, truly, I say to you, that you will weep and lament, but the world will rejoice; you will grieve, but your grief will be turned into joy.

“Whenever a woman is in labor she has pain, because her hour has come; but when she gives birth to the child, she no longer remembers the anguish because of the joy that a child has been born into the world.

“Therefore you too have grief now; but I will see you again, and your heart will rejoice, and no one will take your joy away from you.

“In that day you will not question Me about anything. Truly, truly, I say to you, if you ask the Father for anything in My name, He will give it to you.

“Until now you have asked for nothing in My name; ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be made full.

“These things I have spoken to you in figurative language; an hour is coming when I will no longer speak to you in figurative language, but will tell you plainly of the Father.

“In that day you will ask in My name, and I do not say to you that I will request of the Father on your behalf;

for the Father Himself loves you, because you have loved Me and have believed that I came forth from the Father.

“I came forth from the Father and have come into the world; I am leaving the world again and going to the Father.”

His disciples said, “Lo, now You are speaking plainly and are not using a figure of speech.

“Now we know that You know all things, and have no need for anyone to question You; by this we believe that You came from God.”

Jesus answered them, “Do you now believe?

“Behold, an hour is coming, and has already come, for you to be scattered, each to his own home, and to leave Me alone; and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with Me.

“These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.”

Merry Christmas from Darlene Zchech, Larry, Georgia and Ray

http://reachmorenow.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/234079356_640.jpg

As we conclude this glorious Christmas we wish we were with you to give you a big hug. Since we can only do that in the spirit right now, this magnificent concert will be our hug to you. There is no vocalist and no worship leader in the world equal to Darlene Zchech.

Larry and I spent many marvelous months ministering in Australia. I ended up going to that beautiful country 19 times to share Christ. One of the humongous highlights of my time there was teaching at the Hillsong conference two years in a row. I taught during the day, but the thrill was at night being part of ten thousand people worshiping Christ together with Darlene leading us all through the whole concert.

Darlene and her husband now pastor their own church in the Sydney area. Imagine having Darlene Zchech being your worship leader every Sunday morning!

This year she has fought and won a terribly hard battle against cancer. Pray for her and then lift your hands with us and praise Jesus as we come to the close of Christmas Day. –Ray

The Gospel of John Chapter 15

The Gospel of John Chapter 15

“I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser.

“Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit, He prunes it so that it may bear more fruit.

“You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you.

“Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me.

“I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing.

“If anyone does not abide in Me, he is thrown away as a branch and dries up; and they gather them, and cast them into the fire and they are burned.

“If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.

“My Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit, and so prove to be My disciples.

“Just as the Father has loved Me, I have also loved you; abide in My love.

“If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love; just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love.

“These things I have spoken to you so that My joy may be in you, and that your joy may be made full.

“This is My commandment, that you love one another, just as I have loved you.

“Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends.

“You are My friends if you do what I command you.

“No longer do I call you slaves, for the slave does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I have heard from My Father I have made known to you.

“You did not choose Me but I chose you, and appointed you that you would go and bear fruit, and that your fruit would remain, so that whatever you ask of the Father in My name He may give to you.

“This I command you, that you love one another.

“If the world hates you, you know that it has hated Me before it hated you.

“If you were of the world, the world would love its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, because of this the world hates you.

“Remember the word that I said to you, ‘A slave is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you; if they kept My word, they will keep yours also.

“But all these things they will do to you for My name’s sake, because they do not know the One who sent Me.

“If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not have sin, but now they have no excuse for their sin.

“He who hates Me hates My Father also.

“If I had not done among them the works which no one else did, they would not have sin; but now they have both seen and hated Me and My Father as well.

“But they have done this to fulfill the word that is written in their Law, ‘THEY HATED ME WITHOUT A CAUSE.’

“When the Helper comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, that is the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify about Me,

and you will testify also, because you have been with Me from the beginning.

The Gospel of John – Chapter 14

The Gospel of John – Chapter 14

“Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me.

“In My Father’s house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you.

“If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also.

“And you know the way where I am going.”

Thomas said to Him, “Lord, we do not know where You are going, how do we know the way?”

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.

“If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; from now on you know Him, and have seen Him.”

Philip said to Him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us.”

Jesus said to him, “Have I been so long with you, and yet you have not come to know Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?

“Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father is in Me? The words that I say to you I do not speak on My own initiative, but the Father abiding in Me does His works.

“Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me; otherwise believe because of the works themselves.

“Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go to the Father.

“Whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

“If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it.

“If you love Me, you will keep My commandments.

“I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever;

that is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He abides with you and will be in you.

“I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.

“After a little while the world will no longer see Me, but you will see Me; because I live, you will live also.

“In that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you.

“He who has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me; and he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will disclose Myself to him.”

Judas (not Iscariot) said to Him, “Lord, what then has happened that You are going to disclose Yourself to us and not to the world?”

Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our abode with him.

“He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine, but the Father’s who sent Me.

“These things I have spoken to you while abiding with you.

“But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you.

“Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful.

“You heard that I said to you, ‘I go away, and I will come to you.’ If you loved Me, you would have rejoiced because I go to the Father, for the Father is greater than I.

“Now I have told you before it happens, so that when it happens, you may believe.

“I will not speak much more with you, for the ruler of the world is coming, and he has nothing in Me;

but so that the world may know that I love the Father, I do exactly as the Father commanded Me. Get up, let us go from here.

Dean Jones in "Scrooge and Marley"

http://reachmorenow.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/dickens-christmas-walk.jpg

In “Scrooge and Marley” Dean Jones will play Scrooge and I think before this film is done, you may understand the meaning of Dickens “A Christmas Carol” far better than you ever have before.

Dean Jones is one of the best-known actors in Hollywood. He’s had major roles in more than a hundred movies and probably isn’t done yet.  Dean and his wife, Lori, are beautiful Christians. It’s my great honor to count them my good friends. They were leaders at The Church on the Way with Dr. Jack Hayford when I was Jack’s associate pastor and afterward for all the 22 years we remained members there. I admire Dean and Lory as two of the most dedicated Christians I’ve ever known.

You will see immediately the amazing actor Dean Jones is and the full–of–fun story you will want to watch again. –Ray

How Charlie Brown"s annual Christmas Show got on television

http://reachmorenow.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/charlie-brown-christmas1.jpg

Charlie Brown is perhaps the most famous cartoon character in existence today. Charles Schultz did a remarkable job of writing the comic strip for Charlie Brown that appeared in newspapers all over America every Sunday. People everywhere bought newspapers just to read the Charlie Brown strip.

Yet there was something so unusual about the characters created by Charles Schultz. They often carried a Christian message, at times even quoting Scriptures.

Suddenly the Coca-Cola bottling company wanted to do a Christmas special on television. And the video you are about to see is the pause that refreshes all of us as we watch Charlie Brown still on television at Christmastime every year. –Ray

Dr. Myles Munroe and his beautiful wife are in Heaven. They went there from an airplane that crashed in the Bahamas. Though he is gone from this Earth, his messages are still here that he shared throughout the many years of his ministry. This Christmas message is one you’ll definitely want to hear if you want to understand the spirit and heart of Christmas.

My mentor, Dr. Jack Hayford, and his wife Anna, have written above their front door something that remains there twelve months a year. It reads “I believe in Santa Claus”. This great man who has led thousands to Christ is saying by that message that there is a heart of Christmas that needs to be understood. It is that heart Dr. Monroe will so beautifully explain right now. –Ray

Tools specific to Jhn 13:9 Jhn 13:9
Simon Peter *said to Him, “Lord, then wash not only my feet, but also my hands and my head.”

Tools specific to Jhn 13:10 Jhn 13:10
Jesus *said to him, “He who has bathed needs only to wash his feet, but is completely clean; and you are clean, but not all of you.

Tools specific to Jhn 13:11 Jhn 13:11
For He knew the one who was betraying Him; for this reason He said, “Not all of you are clean.”

Tools specific to Jhn 13:12 Jhn 13:12
So when He had washed their feet, and taken His garments and reclined at the table again, He said to them, “Do you know what I have done to you?

Tools specific to Jhn 13:13 Jhn 13:13
“You call Me Teacher and Lord; and fnyou are right, for so I am.

Tools specific to Jhn 13:14 Jhn 13:14
“If I then, the Lord and the Teacher, washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet.

Tools specific to Jhn 13:15 Jhn 13:15
“For I gave you an example that you also should do as I did to you.

Tools specific to Jhn 13:16 Jhn 13:16
“Truly, truly, I say to you, a slave is not greater than his master, nor is one who is sent greater than the one who sent him.

Tools specific to Jhn 13:17 Jhn 13:17
“If you know these things, you are blessed if you do them.

Tools specific to Jhn 13:18 Jhn 13:18
“I do not speak of all of you. I know the ones I have chosen; but it is that the Scripture may be fulfilled, ‘HE WHO EATS MY BREAD HAS LIFTED UP HIS HEEL AGAINST ME.’

Tools specific to Jhn 13:19 Jhn 13:19
“From now on I am telling you before it comes to pass, so that when it does occur, you may believe that I am He.

Tools specific to Jhn 13:20 Jhn 13:20
“Truly, truly, I say to you, he who receives whomever I send receives Me; and he who receives Me receives Him who sent Me.”

Tools specific to Jhn 13:21 Jhn 13:21
When Jesus had said this, He became troubled in spirit, and testified and said, “Truly, truly, I say to you, that one of you will fnbetray Me.”

Tools specific to Jhn 13:22 Jhn 13:22
The disciples began looking at one another, at a loss to know of which one He was speaking.

Tools specific to Jhn 13:23 Jhn 13:23
There was reclining on Jesus’ bosom one of His disciples, whom Jesus loved.

Tools specific to Jhn 13:24 Jhn 13:24
So Simon Peter *gestured to him, and *said to him, “Tell uswho it is of whom He is speaking.”

Tools specific to Jhn 13:25 Jhn 13:25
He, leaning back thus on Jesus’ bosom, *said to Him, “Lord, who is it?”

Tools specific to Jhn 13:26 Jhn 13:26
Jesus then *answered, “That is the one for whom I shall dip the morsel and give it to him.” So when He had dipped the morsel, He *took and *gave it to Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot.

Tools specific to Jhn 13:27 Jhn 13:27
After the morsel, Satan then entered into him. Therefore Jesus *said to him, “What you do, do quickly.”

Tools specific to Jhn 13:28 Jhn 13:28
Now no one of those reclining at the table knew for what purpose He had said this to him.

Tools specific to Jhn 13:29 Jhn 13:29
For some were supposing, because Judas had the money box, that Jesus was saying to him, “Buy the things we have need of for the feast”; or else, that he should give something to the poor.

Tools specific to Jhn 13:30 Jhn 13:30
So after receiving the morsel he went out immediately; and it was night.

Tools specific to Jhn 13:31 Jhn 13:31
Therefore when he had gone out, Jesus *said, “Now fnis the Son of Man glorified, and God fnis glorified in Him;

Tools specific to Jhn 13:32 Jhn 13:32
fnif God is glorified in Him, God will also glorify Him in Himself, and will glorify Him immediately.

Tools specific to Jhn 13:33 Jhn 13:33
“Little children, I am with you a little while longer. You will seek Me; and as I said to the Jews, now I also say to you, ‘Where I am going, you cannot come.’

Tools specific to Jhn 13:34 Jhn 13:34
“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another.

Tools specific to Jhn 13:35 Jhn 13:35
“By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”

Tools specific to Jhn 13:36 Jhn 13:36
Simon Peter *said to Him, “Lord, where are You going?” Jesus answered, “Where I go, you cannot follow Me now; but you will follow later.”

Tools specific to Jhn 13:37 Jhn 13:37
Peter *said to Him, “Lord, why can I not follow You right now? I will lay down my life for You.”

Tools specific to Jhn 13:38 Jhn 13:38
Jesus *answered, “Will you lay down your life for Me? Truly, truly, I say to you, a rooster will not crow until you deny Me three times.
