If you never saw or loved the movie “Chariots of Fire” you may not be interested in seeing this. But since this is the last day of 2014, I am making this story available to the millions who did. In fact, if you have never seen it before I recommend that you be sure you do. It was a low-budget film made in Scotland that won four Oscars, including best picture of the year for 1981.
The movie focuses on two main characters – Eric Lidell, a Christian, and Harold Abrams, a Jew – competitors in Olympic running. This fascinating documentary that is narrated by still another major actor in the movie, examines the real lives of both men. It’s well done and those who enjoyed “Chariots of Fire” are almost certainly going to enjoy this. This is for you.–Ray
