Judgment Day: Chs. 3&4 – Night Meeting, The Chase
Because Lionel had amnesia, he unwittingly joined Carpathia’s (the Antichrist) teenage “Morale Monitors” who are trying to find all Christians their age and arrest them. Lionel has been given a gun for this purpose. Now that he no longer has amnesia, his friend Chad has told Lionel that he wants to know more about Jesus Christ. Meanwhile, Lionel was able to cover for Judd and Vicki. They ran to the underground shelter now covered with rubble, all that remains of New Hope Village Church. Helicopters are whirling overhead, searching for them, and the radio Chad generously gave them might be enough for the police to zero in on where they are. Lionel was arrested by the overseer of the Morale Monitors and is still being held at their headquarters. Meanwhile, Charlie, a mentally handicapped teenager, has walked into headquarters and Lionel runs the risk of Charlie saying too much.
