Conversations with God – Which day did God make as Sabbath?
Seventh-day Adventists are just as born-again as Sunday–go-to–meeting Christians. No one gets to heaven just because they know the right doctrines. A Christian is someone who has Christ in their heart, not in there much learning. In this real moment, Ray asked God to tell him which day is the real Sabbath. Join Ray for the answer now.
GOD: The devil uses pressures…time, trials, little frustrations that he wants to make BIG to wear down the saints. And you must always work to rest more and take on pressure less.
The Sabbath was the 7th they of creation when I rested. If either Saturday or Sunday was the real “Sabbath” that I proclaimed, then it would absolutely necessitate that I began creating the world on a Sunday or a Monday. But why would anyone assume I began creating on just that day? Your culture and tradition makes Sundays “the Sabbath.” But the Seventh-day Adventists insist Saturday is “the Sabbath.” Neither is right, nor necessarily wrong. When I was criticized by the Pharisees and Sadducees for picking corn or healing on “the Sabbath” it was because of their culture and tradition. I insisted to them and confirm this truth in the book of Hebrews, the “Sabbath rest” was made for man, man was not made for the Sabbath. I want my people rested IN THEIR SPIRIT.
Some who work very very hard 7 days a week for many months or even for years at a time, are FAR MORE RESTED than those who keep one day a week for sleeping and even praying. In fact, believing that you are missing the rest I intend for MY people because they do not stop and relax one day a week, can create the very kind of pressure I am asking MY people to avoid. I long for you to rest IN YOUR SPIRIT even more than in your choice of activity. In truth, My Sabbath rest should occur in my people 7 days a week.
