WILDFIRE! Chapters 8 through 12 (Left Behind the Kids)

Judd awoke with a pounding headache. Lionel stood over him and placed a few sheets of paper on his bed. “Feeling well enough for some good news?”

Judd sat up and winced. “Tell me.”

Lionel explained what Mark had written about Vicki and the others. Though the kids were separated, they were all accounted for. The only ones in immediate danger, it seemed, were Charlie and the farm couple who had befriended the kids in Illinois, the Shairtons. “Oh, Zeke’s dad was arrested too.”

“What’s this?” Judd said, picking up the papers.

“Mark’s translation of Tsion Ben–Judah’s latest letter. It’s long, but he answers a lot in here.”

Lionel brought some food and water, and Judd propped himself up with a few pillows. He drank in every word from Dr. Ben–Judah.

To: The beloved tribulation saints scattered throughout the earth, believers in the one true Jehovah God and his matchless Son, Jesus the Christ, our Savior and Lord.

From: Your servant, Tsion Ben-Judah, blessed by the Lord with the privilege of teaching you, under the authority of His Holy Spirit, from the Bible, the very Word of God.

Re: The dawn of the Great Tribulation

My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, as is so often through what I write you, I come in both joy and sorrow, delighted yet sober in spirit. Forgive the delay since I last wrote, and thank you for all your concern for me. My comrades and I are safe and praising the Lord for a new base of operations. And I always want to thank God for the miracle of technology that allows me to write to you all over the world.

Though I admit few of you personally and look forward to that one day, either in the kingdom Christ sets up after His return or in heaven, I feel we are drawn together like a family as we share the riches of Scripture in these letters. Thank you for your prayers that I will remain faithful to my calling and healthy enough to continue for as long as the Father gives me breath.
