Escape From New Babylon Marathon (Left Behind the Kids) Part 1

Ray will be reading the whole 12 chapters Escape From New Babylon, the 22nd of the 40 book series. After demon locusts attacked the world, Judd traveled to New Babylon to see his friend, Pavel. He then discovered that Pavel had a terminal illness that has now taken his life. Judd and Nada are serious with each other and she wants to go to America with him. But Judd insists she tell her parents. Nada has told Judd that her brother Kasim was killed during the worldwide earthquake and both can only hope he was born again. Clues lead them to a Global Community apartment building. As Nada knocks on an apartment door, Judd watches from the shadows. Someone opens the door and Nada cries out. She crumples to the floor. The man inside says to Judd, “Help me get her inside.’ When Judd glances at the man, he can’t believe who he sees.

Meanwhile, Vicki, Conrad, Shelley and. Darrion rush to Johnson City, Tennessee, to warn believers who were about to be arrested by the Global Police. After narrowly escaping capture, Vicki and the others hide until we can find a way home. When former Senator Chris Traickin arrives, Conrad is suspicious. Is Traickin an imposter or a true believer? And at the schoolhouse, Mark is trying to hold things together. Janie, after being stung by a locust, tried to kill herself, but at the last second, of all people, Charlie stopped her. Don’t miss this marathon.

Judd couldn’t believe his eyes. The man in the apartment  had a dark beard and mustache. On his forehead was the mark of a true believer.

The man picked Nada up and hurried inside. Judd closed the door and looked through the peephole. “I don’t think anybody saw us.”

“Good,” the man said, placing Nada on a couch in the living room.

The apartment was dark. Blinds were drawn, and a flickering light came from a computer screen down the hall.

“She’s out cold,” the man said, putting a hand to Nada’s face. “I hope she didn’t hit her head.” He hurried into the kitchen and brought ice in a plastic bag. He lifted Nada’s head and gently placed the ice underneath. “Are you her boyfriend?”

“I guess you could say that,” Judd said.
