The 4th Blood Moon is ready to shine
Ray is about to read 3 articles regarding the 4th blood moon of the tetrad that will shine down on us. The renowned television preacher Pastor John Hagee, pastor of Cornerstone Church, a mega-church in San Antonio, Texas, says this moon is unlike all others. In one of these articles I’ll quote exactly what he says about it. The 3 articles Ray will read will give you all kinds of good information about how to watch this blood moon, the belief of Dr. Irvin Baxter who is president of End time ministries, and an article featuring Dr. Hagee. What on Earth is happening tonight? Join Ray now for the answer.
11 Facts About the September 27/ 28, 2015 Blood Moon Eclipse
On September 28, 2015, a rare Total Lunar Eclipse of a
Super Full Moon will be visible from most of North America, South America, Europe, West Asia and parts of Africa. Here are 11 facts you should know about this eclipse.

1. A Rare Eclipse of a Supermoon
The full Moon of September 27/28 is a Supermoon – the Moon will be closest to the Earth. or at its perigee, as it turns into a full Moon. A rising Super Full Moon can look larger and brighter to spectators on Earth.
Total eclipses of Super Full Moons are rare. According to NASA, they have only occurred 5 times in the 1900s – in1910, 1928, 1946, 1964 and 1982. After the September 27/ 28, 2015 Total Lunar Eclipse, a Supermoon eclipse will not happen again for another 18 years, until October 8, 2033.
2. People in the US Will Get Front Row Seats
People in eastern and central areas of the United States and Canada will have some of the best views of the Total Lunar Eclipse on the night of September 27, 2015, weather permitting. Here, the eclipse will begin after moonrise and finish around midnight (00:00 on September 28).
Those on the West Coast will miss the beginning stages of the eclipse because they will happen before moonrise.
It will be the last Total Lunar Eclipse visible from mainland USA until January 31, 2018.

3. Late Night & Early Morning Eclipse
While North and South Americans will be able to see the eclipse after sunset on September 27, 2015, people in Africa, Europe and Middle East can view it during the early hours of September 28, before the Sun rises.

4. No Need for Eye Protection

Lunar eclipses can be spectacular and they are easy to see with the naked eye. Unlike solar eclipses, which require protective eye wear, a lunar eclipse can be viewed without specialized eye wear.
5. A Solar Eclipse Takes Place Two Weeks Before
Solar and lunar eclipses come in pairs – a lunar eclipse always takes place two weeks before or after a solar eclipse. The September 27/ 28, 2015 Total Lunar Eclipse will be preceded by a Partial Solar Eclipse on September 13, 2015.
6. It’s Part of a Lunar Tetrad
The September 28, 2015 Total Lunar Eclipse is the fourth and final eclipse in a series of four total lunar eclipses called the lunar tetrad. The first three eclipses of the tetrad took place on April 15, 2014, October 8, 2014 and on April 4, 2015.
Notice something interesting about the dates? Each of the eclipses in the tetrad occurs about 6 months apart and have 5 full Moons between them!
Lunar tetrads can be rare in some centuries and can occur frequently in others. The 21st century will have 8 lunar tetrads, the maximum number of lunar tetrads that can occur in a century. The last time this happened was in the 9th century!
The next lunar tetrad of the 21st century will start with the April 25, 2032 Total Lunar Eclipse.
7. …And is Being Called a Blood Moon

In recent years, the term Blood Moon has been frequently used to refer to total lunar eclipses. Some sources suggest that the term stems from the Bible. Christian pastors Mark Blitz and John Hagee claim that the eclipses of the 2014-2015 lunar tetrad fulfill a Biblical prophecy of forthcoming difficult and trying times.
Astronomers do not use Blood Moon as a scientific term. However, it is possible that the term came to describe total lunar eclipses because of the reddish color the eclipsed Moon takes on during totality. This happens because ofRayleigh scattering, the same mechanism that causes colorful sunrises and sunsets.

8. Despite Rumors, the World Will Not End
Relax! The World will not end.©iStockphoto.com/DNY59
The views of pastors Mark Blitz and John Hagee gathered attention in early 2014, because the eclipses in the tetrad coincide with important Jewish festivals. The eclipses in April 2014 andApril 2015 occured at the same time as Passover, while the October 2014 and September 2015 eclipses occur during the Feast of Tabernacles. Some people took this coincidence as a sign of the end of times.
Others have dismissed any apocalyptic significance of the tetrad. Data of past eclipses show that at least eight lunar tetrads have coincided with Jewish holidays since the First Century.
The Jewish Calendar is a lunar calendar and Passover always occurs around a full Moon. Since a total lunar eclipse can only occur on a full Moon night, it is very likely that an eclipse will take place on or near Passover.
The Science Behind Total Lunar Eclipses
In conclusion, scientists and astronomers have found no reason to believe that the current lunar tetrad is a sign of the world to end. Even mainstream religious organizations have debunked this claim, so don’t start hoarding end-of-the-world supplies just yet!

9. It will Happen on Harvest Moon
The Harvest Moon is the first full Moon of the Northern Hemisphere fall (autumn).©iStockphoto.com/klagyivik
The Lunar Eclipse on September 27/ 28, 2015 will occur during the Northern Hemisphere’s first fall (autumn) full Moon. Called the Harvest Moon in many northern cultures, it is the full Moon closest to the September Equinox, and is astronomically significant.
On average the Moon rises about 50 minutes later every successive day in a lunar month – the time period between two full Moons or two new Moons. In New York, for example, a new Moon will rise at 6:50 am on September 13. On September 14, the Moon will rise almost 60 minutes later at 7:46 am.
Around the Northern Hemisphere’s Harvest Moon, this time difference between two successive moonrises decreases to about 30-40 minutes for a few days. In New York, a full Moon will rise at 6:36 pm (18:36) on September 27 and on September 28, the Moon will rise 40 minutes later at 7:16 pm (19:16).
This curious phenomenon, which is also sometimes called the Harvest Moon Effect occurs because of the low angle that the Moon’s path around the Earth makes with the horizon during the northern fall (autumn) months. This effect reverses during the Northern Hemisphere spring. The large angle that the lunar orbit makes with the horizon ensures that the moon rises more than 50 minutes later every day around the northern Spring Equinox.
Because seasons in the Southern Hemisphere are opposite to the seasons in the North, the Harvest Moon Effect occurs around the southern Fall (Autumn) Equinox in March.

where is the more…10. It is Part of Lunar Saros Series 137
Like solar eclipses, lunar eclipses tend to occur in 18 year long cycles called Saros cycles. Lunar eclipses separated by a Saros cycle share similar features, including time of the year and the distance of the Moon from the Earth. Eclipses that are separated by a Saros cycle are included in a Saros series.
The September 27/ 28, 2015 Lunar Eclipse belongs to Saros Series 137. It is the 28th eclipse and the last total lunar eclipse in a series of 81 lunar eclipses. The series began with a penumbral eclipse on December 17, 1564 and will end with another penumbral eclipse on April 20, 2953.
11. It’s the Last Eclipse of 2015
2015 has 4 eclipses, the minimum number of eclipses that can happen in a calendar year. TheSeptember 28 Total Lunar Eclipse marks the last eclipse of the year. It will be preceded by a partial solar eclipse on September 13, 2015.
The first eclipse of the year, a total solar eclipse took place on March 20. Two weeks later, on April 4, 2015 the first lunar eclipse of 2015 took place.
Sign of the Four Blood Moons
By Irvin Baxter
Irvin Baxter is the founder and president of Endtime Ministries in Richardson, Texas. He is an author, publisher, broadcaster and international prophecy teacher.hat is a Blood Moon?
A lunar eclipse occurs when the earth passes between the sun and the moon. This blocks the sun’s rays from reflecting off the moon as normal. However, some of the sun’s rays curve around the earth causing the moon to appear red during a total eclipse. Because of its vivid color, a total lunar eclipse is often referred to by NASA as a Blood Red Moon. The occurrence of blood moons is quite common, normally happening at least twice per year. Most of us have seen the moon when its appearance has changed to red. When four blood moons happen in close succession, NASA refers to this as a tetrad. Tetrads are rather rare, only taking place fifty-five times since 1 AD.
The Teaching of the 4 Blood Moons
The teaching of the four blood moons has recently captivated the attention of the religious world. This teaching states that, when four consecutive blood moons fall on Jewish feast days, a major event affecting the Jewish people will occur in close proximity to that time.
This phenomenon of four consecutive blood moons coinciding with Jewish feast days has only occurred ten times since 1 AD and only three times since 1492 AD. The three times since 1492 are as follows:
- Tetrad of 1493-1494
- Tetrad of 1949-1950
- Tetrad of 1967-1968
Major events affecting the Jewish people have occurred in close proximity to all three of these tetrads.
The Spanish Inquisition Took Place in 1492 Just Before the Tetrad of 1493-1494
In 1492, King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella of Spain gave the Jewish population a mere four months to convert to Catholicism or leave the country. It is estimated that between 165,000 and 400,000 Jews fled the country at this time. As many as 50,000 decided to stay, converting to Roman Catholicism.
The Spanish Inquisition sought to punish Jews who had converted to Christianity but were not really “sincere” in their conversions. Torture was used to elicit confessions from these “false converts”. After confessing, many of them were then burned at the stake.
The Inquisition was cruel beyond belief. First you tell people they have to convert or die. When they do convert, you place them under severe torture to test the sincerity of their conversions. Once they confess under duress, then you burn them at the stake because they are not true Catholics. These are the types of inhumane horrors that were inflicted upon thousands of Jews during the Spanish Inquisition.
Was Christopher Columbus Jewish?
Many historians now believe that Christopher Columbus was secretly Jewish. They believe his voyage to the west in 1492 was his way of escaping the Spanish Inquisition of that year and therefore resulted in his discovery of America.
In Simon Weisenthal’s book, “Sails of Hope”, he argues that Columbus’ voyage was motivated by a desire to find a safe haven for the Jews in light of their expulsion from Spain.
The studies of Carol Delaney of Stanford University led her to believe that Columbus was a deeply religious man whose purpose was to sail to Asia to obtain gold in order to finance a crusade to take back Jerusalem and rebuild the Jews’ holy temple.
Columbus’ voyage was not, as is commonly believed, funded by the deep pockets of Queen Isabella, but rather by two Jews who converted to Catholicism to avoid death. Louis de Santangel and Gabriel Sanchez advanced an interest free loan of 17,000 ducats from their own pockets to help pay for the voyage. Another prominent Jew, Don Isaac Abrabanel, who was a rabbi and Jewish statesman, also donated towards the voyages of Christopher Columbus.
Is it any surprise that the United States has the largest Jewish population on earth, standing at 6.6 million? Israel presently has 6.1 million Jews living within her borders.
The Nation of Israel Reborn on May 14, 1948 Just Before the Tetrad of 1949-1950
After the destruction of Jerusalem by the Romans in 70 AD, Jews were driven into exile. For the next 1,878 years, the Jewish people were sifted through the nations of the earth. Yet, they retained their identity.
After Hitler’s horrible holocaust during World War II, the Jews were finally granted a homeland by the nations of the world. On May 14, 1948, the modern state of Israel was born.
The City of Jerusalem was Reunited During Tetrad of 1967-1968
God said many times in the Old Testament that He would place His name in Jerusalem. During their 2,000 years of exile, the Jewish people turned their faces toward Jerusalem three times each day praying for the restoration of Jerusalem and the rebuilding of their temple. On June 7, 1967 the Jordanians launched an attack against Israel and west Jerusalem. Israel counter-attacked driving Jordan out of east Jerusalem, out of Judea-Samaria, and back into its own land across the Jordan River. Jerusalem was undivided and under Jewish control for the first time since the destruction of Jerusalem by the Romans in 70 AD.
Three Tetrads on Feast Days = Major Jewish Events
The only three tetrads matching feast days in the last 500 years have all fallen remarkably close to major events in Jewish history as we have explained above.
Now, it’s about to happen for a fourth time!
Four Blood Moons Just Ahead
Four blood moons on Jewish feast days are getting ready to appear for the fourth time in the last 500 years. According to NASA, they will occur on:
- April 15, 2014—Passover
- October 8, 2014—Feast of Tabernacles
- April 4, 2015—Passover
- September 28, 2015—Feast of Tabernacles
Some prophecy teachers are declaring boldly that this tetrad just ahead signals that something is getting ready to happen, which will change the world forever.
Should We Even Pay Attention to the Moon and the Stars?
As Christians, we should not practice or put our faith in astrology. However, God has at times used the heavens for sending signs to mankind.
In Genesis 1:14, God said, “Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:” God specifically said, “Let them be for signs.”
We also know that the wise men were led to Jesus by a star. This is recorded in Matthew 2:1-2, “Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem, Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.”
Herod inquired of the chief priests and the scribes where Messiah was to be born according to the prophecies. He was told that Messiah was to be born in Bethlehem. Herod relayed the information to the Wise Men.
Matthew 2:9-10 says, “When they had heard the king, they departed; and, lo, the star, which they saw in the east, went before them, till it came and stood over where the young child was. When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy.”
The Prophecy of the Moon being Turned Into Blood
There are several prophecies foretelling that the moon will be turned to blood in the endtime.
Joel 2:30-31 states: “And I will show wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke. The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come.”
Revelation 6:12 also prophesies that the moon will become as blood: “And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood.”
Will the Moon Literally be Turned to Blood?
It is not reasonable to believe the entire moon will be turned into blood when the prophecy is fulfilled. The scriptures undoubtedly mean that the moon will take on the appearance of blood.
What can We Expect to Happen?
Four blood moons are going to occur between April 15, 2014 and September 28, 2015, and they are going to happen on Jewish feast days. If the pattern of the last three tetrads continues, then we can expect some major event for the Jewish people.
Is There a Big Event on the Horizon?
One of the greatest prophetic fulfillments in the last 2,000 years lies just ahead of us. The Bible prophesies that a peace agreement between Israelis and Palestinians will soon be signed.
US Secretary of State John Kerry has been working diligently since July 30, 2013 to reach a peace agreement between Israelis and Palestinians. He has set April 29, 2014 as the deadline for reaching an agreement.
What will This Peace Agreement do?
According to the biblical prophecy, the signing of a Middle East peace agreement will mark the beginning of the Final Seven Years to Armageddon and the Second Coming of Jesus to the earth.
- Under the agreement, the Antichrist and the International Community will recognize Israel’s right to a homeland in the Holy Land.
- A Palestinian state will be created in the West Bank, which is the biblical area of Judea. There are presently 650,000 Jews living in Judea.
- Many of the Jews presently living in the parts of Judea that will become the new Palestinian state will decide to remain in their homes living as a Jewish minority in Palestine.
- The dispute over control of the Temple Mount will be solved by placing it under a sharing arrangement between Muslims and Jews.
- Israel will build her Third Temple on the Temple Mount without disturbing the Dome of the Rock or the Al Aqsa Mosque.
- Israel’s temple will be completed during the first three and one-half years after the signing of the agreement.
- Halfway through the final seven years, the Antichrist will stand in the Temple claiming to be Messiah and God. The scriptures call this the Abomination of Desolation.
SAN ANTONIO — The Book of Genesis says God uses the sun, moon, and stars for signs and seasons. Examples can be found throughout the Bible.
Think of how a star led the wise men to Jesus or how the sun stood still as Joshua led Israel to victory over its enemies.
According to Pastor John Hagee, God is getting ready to speak this way once again.
“There’s a sense in the world that things are changing and God is trying to communicate with us in a supernatural way,” Hagee told CBN News.
“I believe that in these next two years, we’re going to see something dramatic happen in the Middle East involving Israel that will change the course of history in the Middle East and impact the whole world,” he predicted.
Four Blood Moons
In his latest book, Four Blood Moons: Something Is About to Change, Hagee lays out what he calls celestial signals. He describes how a series of blood moons in 2014 and 2015 will have great significance for Israel.
Although single blood moons happen fairly regularly, four appearing so closely together is extremely rare. There have only been a series of blood moons a handful of times over the past 500 years.
So what exactly is a blood moon and what is the biblical significance?
“A blood moon is when the Earth comes between the sun and the moon,” Hagee explained. “And the sun is shining through the atmosphere of the Earth and casts up on the moon a red shadow. And so the moon appears to be red.”
Such moons appear several times in scripture.
In the book of Joel, God says there will be “wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire…the sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord.”
In Acts, the Apostle Peter repeats that verse from Joel. And the book of Revelation says that during the Great Tribulation, “the moon will become like blood.”
Blood moons are set to appear in April 2014, on Passover, and then again in October 2014 during the Feast of Tabernacles, or Sukkot.
The timing is the same for 2015 — a total of four blood moons, all appearing on Jewish feast days.
“The sun and the moon and the Earth are controlled by God almighty,” Hagee said. “He is the one that is getting them in a direct alignment on a certain day at a certain time — but each time, it’s a Passover or Sukkot.
Historic Significance
In the past, the rare appearance of four blood moons on these feast days has coincided with major events for Israel and the Jewish people.
In 1492, Spain expelled the Jews. Columbus also discovered America, which became a safe haven for the Jewish people.
“In each of these blood moons, you have something that begins in tragedy and ends in triumph,” Hagee explained.
For instance, in 1948, Israel was reborn as a nation.
“After 2,000 years, God supernaturally brought them from 66 nations and a nation was born in a day,” Hagee noted. “That again was a supernatural something that happened following the tragedy of the Holocaust.”
In 1967, Israel won the Six-Day War and recaptured Jerusalem.
“For the first time in 2,000 years, Jerusalem and the State of Israel were together again,” Hagee said.
Nuclear Threat
Two blood moons have already appeared in 2014 and they coincided with major events in the Middle East and the world:
- A war between Israel and Hamas in the summer of 2014
- The rise of ISIS and the emergence of a new caliphate in Syria and Iraq
- Terrorism increasing around the world
- And anti-Semitism on the march in Europe
Then, there are continued attempts by the world to strike a deal with Iran, which promise to only increase in 2015.
“The only reason that Iran will not acquire a nuclear bomb will be that Israel chooses a military solution to that crisis,” Hagee told CBN News.
“I believe that if that happens, it will start a series of events that will change the course of world history,” he said. “If Israel does not, then it will still change the course of world history.”
Hagee has been warning of the Iranian nuclear threat through his work with Christians United for Israel, which he founded in 2006. It is now the largest pro-Israel organization in America, with some 1.3 million members.
He holds nights to honor Israel across the country and at San Antonio’s Cornerstone Church, where he serves as senior pastor. The first event, in 1981, drew bomb threats and vandalism from anti-Semites.
Yet Hagee continues his mission.
“If there was ever a time for the Christians of America to stiffen their spine and stand up and speak up, it’s now,” Hagee admonished. “To see evil and not call it evil is evil. Not to speak is to speak. We cannot be silent and receive God’s approval at a time like this.”
He said it’s still unclear what the coming blood moons will bring, but he is certain of one thing.
“When all is said and done, the flag of Israel will be flying over the walls of the city of Jerusalem when Messiah comes, and it’s going to be forever,” he said. “And every nation that rises up in judgment against Israel God will punish and punish severely.”
