Did you know that indoor toilets began being used in homes soonly after salespeople went door-to-door to try to sell them. When people came to the door and heard what the salesperson wanted to sell them, most of them were shocked and asked the salesperson “Are you talking about bringing a filthy toilet inside our house?!!” Until that time, everyone used an outhouse to keep the smell away. They believed that made things far more sanitary.
